Battery Charger Car

Can I use a car battery charger to power a car amp?
What do I need to take into consideration? The Amp is 100w 20 amps, the battery charger is rated 12v… see link below…
Not sure… what I need to calculate… if it will run… do I need a car battery?? I want to connect the charger to the amp. Thanks

short answer no, i presume your going to use a cheap charger which are usually about 4amp, it will work for a short time but then burn out. you need a 12v transformer with a high enough amp rating
