Wind Turbine Generator

Buliding a wind turbine generator?
Can anyone give me the link to a good site with the step by step procedures of making a wind turbine generator. It is for a school science fair so not something with very expensive parts or anything.
Also, I am testing what shaped blades generate the most electricity. Is that a good idea or should i go with something like what material or what shape?
Almost impossible to build a working generator without a good machine shop and lots of experience. Instead, look for an old auto alternator, or perhaps a generator that operates a bicycle light and runs from the rear wheel.

edit: to clear up terminology issues, the generator is the part that actually generates the electricity. The wind turbine is the part with the large blades that turn in the wind. It is connected to the generator via gears or belts.
You state that you want to build (just) the generator….
